Nasimi Institute of Linguistics held a republican scientific conference on "Language policy of Heydar Aliyev and modern problems of the mother tongue" at Azerbaijan National Academy of Science (ANAS), APA reports.
It was brought to attention that the issue of language played an important role in the political activities of the prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev in both periods of his leadership in Azerbaijan.
The guests who delivered the speech stressed that the Great Leader had always attached great importance to his mother tongue - the Azerbaijani language. National Leader Heydar Aliyev had unparalleled services in the development of the Azerbaijani language and its rightful place among world languages.
