On November 10, the next coastal cleanup campaign was held with the participation of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA) Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, and volunteers, APA reports citing IDEA Public Union.
The campaign held moto the slogan "Let's keep the beaches clean" was organized in the Bilgah beach area of Baku. The campaign participants, supplied with all the required sanitary equipment, cleaned the area of a large amount of waste, especially plastic waste, which causes permanent damage.
The main purpose of the event is to promote the observance of cleanliness on the beaches, prevent pollution of coastal areas with household waste, as well as involving young people in the struggle to protect the marine environment.
