Taking into consideration the risk of the spread of COVID-19 infection, the restriction has been imposed on turning on the air cooling systems in public transport and in the public catering facilities, Baku Transport Agency’s (BTA) press service told APA.
It was noted that according to the recommendation of the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), the main purpose in taking this step is to protect people’s health because the air cooling system installed in buses gets the air circulated inside the bus saloon which increases the risk of spread of the virus.
"The non-operation of the air cooling systems has caused some concern among passengers, therefore we ask them to accept this issue with understanding”, the report says.
