Ganira Pashayeva proposes to teach Azerbaijani in TV Channels

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayevâ€“APA. MP Ganira Pashayeva has proposed to teach Azerbaijani in TV Channels, MP told APA that there was need for study of Azerbaijani language in TV Channels in the country at present.
â€œThe language plays a great role in protection of national identity of each person. Azerbaijanis living and growing up in various countries of the world have difficulties to speak native language. Our compatriots living in California presented this proposal when we were in the US. Study of Azerbaijani in TV Channels broadcasting over the world will be effectiveâ€, she said.
MP said that several countries of the world have such experience. Pashayeva added that she had conducted negotiations with leaderships of State Committee for Diaspora Issues and Public Television on the issue. To her, leaderships of two bodies positively reacted to the situation.
Nariman Gurbanov, Head of State Committee for Diaspora Issues told APA that they supported the proposal and would conduct discussions during the assembly of World Azerbaijanis Coordination Council on December 18. He underlined that not only Public Television, but other TV Channels will be involved in this issue.
