Iran's support for non-state armed groups, including Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas, should be discussed as part of the memorandum expected to be signed with Iran, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in Bahrain, APA reports.
Rubio noted that the memorandum is intended to promote regional peace, as well as respect for the sovereignty and interests of independent states.
"There is no doubt that this issue must be discussed. As long as there are non-state armed groups funded by Iran and operating within the borders of sovereign states, peace and stability in the region will not be possible," Rubio said.
