APA reports that according to the recent report of the UN on demographic processes in the world, the population of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will increase within 40 years.The population will increase most in Tajikistan – the population of the country is expected to increase by 4 million within 40 years and reach 10.8 million. In the other CIS countries the population is expected to reduce. Russia’s population will drop from 141.8 million to 107.8 million, the population of Belarus from 9.6 million to 7 million and the population of Ukraine will drop from 45.9 million to 30.9 million. The population of Georgia, Armenia and Moldova is also expected to reduce by 2.9 million within this period.

The number of world’s population will increase 1.5 times and reach 9.2 billion in 2050. The population will grow because of African countries. Annual growth of the population in this continent makes up 2.3 percent. In 40 years 186 million will live in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the most densely-populated country of Africa. Now Congo’s population is 65 million.

Average annual population growth in Asia will not exceed 1.1 percent. The population will grow in this continent because of China. In 40 years China’s population will increase by 100 million and reach 1.4 billion. India’s population will exceed China at that time – 1.658 billion.

The population of Europe is expected to reduce from 731 million to 664 million. The population of Bulgaria reduces 0.7 percent every year. Germany will be the most densely-populated country of Europe in 2050. Germany’s population will reduce by 8.4 million and make up 74.1 million. The population of the United States (308 million) will grow 94 million by 2050 and reach 402 million.
