Deputy Chairman of Confederation of Trade Union Organizations: â€œLabour rights are violated in the transnational companies operating in Azerbaijanâ€

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œThe heads of the companies operating in Azerbaijan should know that the violation of labour rights will be seriously combated. We hope the countryâ€™s media will also support us,â€ Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Union Organizations Agil Dadashov told journalists, APA reports. He said that labour rights were violated more in Azerbaijan in transnational companies.
â€œThe main offices of the transnational companies are located in the leading countries of the world. Everybody knows that the violation of labour rights is observed more in those companies. Such cases are observed in Azerbaijan, because our country has gained its independence recently. In the first years of the independence we were interested in involving foreign investors to the country. Now the country is developing. Our struggle against the violation of labour rights in transnational companies is giving results,â€ he said.
Dadashov said such negative cases were not only observed in the energy sector.
â€œSuch cases are also observed in the countryâ€™s famous mobile operators Azercell and Bakcell,â€ he said.
