Unstable weather to continue in Azerbaijan for a few days

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Weather condition changed in Azerbaijan beginning from August 7, National Hydrometeorological Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told APA-Economics. Showers in the north-western region of the country caused short-term floods in Talachay, Agchay, Kurmukchay rivers of Balaken-Shaki region. The amount of rainfall was most recorded in Gakh 96mm, Ilisu 59mm, Zagatala 40mm (54% of the monthly norm), Shaki 26mm (46% of the monthly norm), Agstafa 22mm (92% of the monthly norm) and Ganja 16mm (84% of the norm).
The amount of rainfall was 4mm in Guba, 3mm in Gadavay, Shamkir, Gabala, 2mm in Dashkesen and 1 mm in Ismayilli, Terter, Goychay. It rained a little in some places of Absheron peninsula (Bilajari and Sumgayit) at night. North-western wind strengthened in Abhseron peninsula. Oil Rocks station reports that the height of the wave reached 2.2 meters. The temperature was 34-38 degrees in the lowland regions, 19-22 degrees in the mountainous regions and 30-33 degrees in Absheron peninsula.
According to the forecasts of National Hydrometeorological Department unstable weather will last till August 10, rain, local showers are predicted mainly at nights and in the evenings in some regions. North-western wind is forecasted to reach 15-20m/s, sometimes 23-28m/s on the night of August 8-9.
Despite cool weather within three days in Absheron peninsula, strong wind will become calmer on August 9, humidity is predicted to be above normal. Such unstable meteorological condition is unfavorable for meteosensitive people.
