Baku. Laura Jabrayilli–APA. Archeological excavations in mass grave site in Guba will finish late in August, head of the scientific expedition Gahraman Agayev told APA. He said the archeological excavations were carried out in the well.
“We are clearing the upper part of the well. A lot of human skeletons, and mainly skulls have been found out during the excavation. The skulls and skeletons mostly belong to women and children. 203 skulls have been found from the aryk. The number of the skulls taken out of the well will be determined at the end of the excavations and made public,” he said.
Agayev said the territory would be delivered to Guba Region Executive Power after the excavations and repair work would be carried out in there.
“Glass museum will be established in the mass grave site after the repair. The bones of the victims of genocide committed by Armenian against Azerbaijanis in 1918 will be demonstrated in the glass museum”, he said.
