Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Religious Associations Hidayat Orujov has paid an official visit to Islamic Republic of Iran. State committee told APA that the visit aims at familiarizing with the religious associations in Iran, discussing historical-religious relations between the two countries and exchanging views on bilateral cooperation in the field of religion.
“The visit is also very important in terms of protecting common moral values from foreign impacts, ensuring religious stability in the region and freedom of religion,†the committee said.
Hidayat Orujov will meet with state and government officials, heads of nongovernmental organizations, figures of culture and art, as well as representatives of society.
The visit schedule will also cover familiarization with religious and secular educational system of Iran.
