734 foreigners asked to leave Azerbaijan last month

Baku â€“ APA. The State Migration Service conducted inspection of some enterprises for the prevention of violation of employer countryâ€™s legislation and employment of stateless persons and relevant measures were taken against the enterprises and foreigners who ignored the requirements of the local legislation.

The State Migration Service identified 1 140 foreigners and stateless persons, who violated the rules of sojournment and permanent residence in Azerbaijan, as well as the requirements of the administrative legislation. 310 of them paid fines and their residence was legalized. 734 foreigners were asked to leave the country within 48 hours and 96 foreigners were deported in an administrative order.

In April, the State Migration Service received 5 792 applications from the foreigners and stateless persons for extending the term of the sojournment, getting permissions for temporary and permanent residence, getting individual permissions for labor activity and extending the term of the individual permissions.

Each of the appeals was investigated in accordance with the legislation and relevant decisions were passed.

Measures are being continued to strengthen the state control over the migration.
