Storm in Turkey can affect Azerbaijanâ€™s territory

It is expected to cause only thunder and short-term rains in the western regions of Azerbaijan, including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Gazakh and Ganjaâ€, senior hydrologist of the hydro-meteorology department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev told APA.

He said weather would be changeable cloudy and rainless in Baku and Absheron peninsula in the next three days. North-west wind will intensify on April 20 and temperature will be 21â€¦26 C on April 19, 20-25 C on April 20-21.

Thunder and short-term rainfall is expected in the regions of Azerbaijan on April 20. West win will occasionally intensify. It will be 21-26 C in daytime and 12-17 C at night in the lowland regions.

On April 21, rainless weather will dominate, but thunder and short-term rains are expected in mountainous areas. The temperature will be 22-27 C in lowland and 13-18 C in the mountainous areas.

On April 18, a freak storm and heavy rainfall hit Turkey causing causalities in Istanbul, Ankara and several provinces.
