Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Azerbaijani Muslims mark the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
This year, 6-7 July have been officially declared as Ramadan holidays in the country.
The Eid prayer on the occasion of the end of Ramadan will be performed at 9.00 AM in Taza Pir Mosque.
CMB Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade will lead the prayer in Tezepir mosque.
According to the fatwa of the Gazi Council and the Scientific-Religious Council of the Caucasian Muslims Office, the 1st of Ramadan—that is, when the moon appears—will fall on June 7 in Azerbaijan this year and Eid al-Fitr – the Ramadan holiday – falls on the 1st of Shawwal – the 6th of July.
