Allahshukur Pashazade to visit UK

Baku – APA. Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade will pay a visit to the UK on May 15 at the invitation of Faith Matters organization.

CMO press service told APA that Pashazade will attend the conference of religious communities to be held in London on May 16. Faith Matters is organizing the conference on the occasion of “Year of multiculturalism” declared in Azerbaijan to demonstrate the Azerbaijani model of inter-religious relations, peaceful coexistence and tolerance to the British religious leaders and British society.

Leaders of traditional religious confessions in Azerbaijan - Head of the Community of Azerbaijan's Mountain Jews Milikh Yevdayev, Archbishop of Baku and Azerbaijan eparchy Alexander Ishein will represent Azerbaijan in the conference, along with Pashazade.

Kamal Abdullayev, State Counsellor for Intercultural, Multicultural and Religious Affairs and Azad Mammadov, Executive director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center will also attend the conference.

Azerbaijani delegation will hold meetings with various religious communities, as well as well-known public figures.
