52 religious communities registered in Azerbaijan in 2015

Baku. Farid Mirzayev – APA. As many as 52 religious communities were registered in Azerbaijan in 2015, said the report of the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations for 2015.

According to the report, 49 of them are Islamic and 3 non-Islamic.

“The number of the registered religious communities in Azerbaijan reached 644. Of them, 620 are Islamic, 24 are non-Islamic (15 – Christian, 6 – Jewish, 2- Baha’i and 1 – Krishna)”, said the report.
