Azerbaijan celebrates Ramadan Holiday

APA reports that people will perform the Holiday Namaz in Azerbaijan mosques, including the “Tazapir” mosque on this occasion.

The Month of Ramadan teaches people the principles of loving Allah, how to manage their will, creates the opportunity to test their endurance, directs their steps towards vigilance and honest consciousness and indicates them to carry the Oruc. The month of Ramadan among the Islamic months is considered to be the healthiest and the holiest. It’s also called “the sultan of 11 months” in a figurative meaning. To eat, to drink water, to smoke is prohibited in the daytime during the month of Oruc, fast. Only children, ill people, pregnant women, servicemen, the people who hit the long road are free from it. The Holiday of Ramadan aims to collect and meet together all the Muslims.

It needs to carry the Oruc during the holiday.

The Cabinet of Ministers announced that August 19-20 will be non-working days due to Ramadan Holiday. As August 19 falls on Sunday, the next working day after the holiday – August 21 will be also a non-working day.
