State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations comments on Iranian mediaâ€™s charge against Azerbaijan

It is inadmissible case that the slanders, which are against the Azerbaijani and Iranian mentality, are sounded against the influential people, said the Press Service of the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations, APA reports.

Though the incendiary role of Armenian-origin websites and insidious goal of those, who desire to bring neighboring countries into confrontation, was noticed clearly in these information tensions, unfortunately, there are people who increase this intention: â€œThe officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan have announced repeatedly its kind neighborhood and friendly relation to Iran as a political position. The Iranian state officials havenâ€™t sounded any fact that will prove its opposite side yet. Thatâ€™s why stop to be the agitation tool of some organizations and enemies of national morality which have a purpose to destroy the prospect of our centuries-long relations. The Republic of Azerbaijan is a secular country. Its close and far neighbors must respect the choice of our citizens. Our secularity is that our state can not allow infamy in its territory which is against Azerbaijanâ€™s national-religious valuesâ€.

The report says that Azerbaijan uses various peaceful forms for the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict: â€œJust â€œEurovision-2012â€ is the event in universal format to strengthen elements of this struggle. This is one of the effective methods of inter-culture dialogue, the most effective form than can help the millions of people to understand the essence and directions of the aggression against the country, which is an example of peaceful co-existence. The positions and actions of people, who doesnâ€™t want to see it as the same, cause regret. We are sure that people, who attempts to shadow the healthy spirituality and position of our republic and citizens, including millions of compatriots, will be frustratedâ€.
