When ideologists of Islamic extremism want to ground their extremist views in their works and when this view contradicts Koran, they do not pay attention to the items of this sacred book,†representative of Azerbaijan’s National Security Ministry Elman Gurbanov said, APA reports. He said the concept of “godlessness†holds a significant place in Wahhabism.
“Speaking about “godlessness†wahhabis mean Jews and Christians. But none of the Wahhabi texts take into account this ayat of Koran: “Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.†Jihad, which is considered one of the principles of systematization in the Wahhabi ideology, is explained only as armed struggle. Koran and Sunnah are not referred to,†he said.
Elman Gurbanov said relatively one can admit that terrorists indeed struggle for Islam.
“But even in this case they themselves violate the rules of Shariat. According to most Muslim theologians and lawyers, even if a legal war is waged, it is forbidden to kill women, children, the old, clergymen, craftsmen and ploughers,†he said.
