Director of ANAS Institute of History: â€œThe harmful inclinations which aimed to weaken Islam in the country, penetrated to Azerbaijan from the Western Europe under the religionâ€™s shelterâ€

APA reports that the representative of the state organizations, MPs, scientists and theologians, party chairperson participated in the event.

MP, Director of ANAS Institute of Human Rights Ayten Mustafayevva said that the issues on religion were always in the spot. She said that Azerbaijan could be a model in the world in terms of religious tolerance.

Director of ANAS Institute of History Yagub Mammadov underlined that the harmful inclinations that aimed to weaken Islam in the country, penetrated to Azerbaijan from the Western Europe under the religionâ€™s shelter.

We are really tolerant. But do not abuse our tolerance!â€ Mahmudov said that he supported anti-terror operations, but the Westâ€™s similar operations are directed against the East: â€œThe genocide is being committed in Afghanistan and Iraqâ€.

Theologian Vasim Mammadaliyev said that the religious sects, banned in Europe, were functioning in Azerbaijan: â€œThey accuse Azerbaijani government when they are not registered and raise a clamor. Europe also supports them despite Europe banned their activityâ€.

The other persons participating in the event also expressed their opinion.

The similar event is expected to be held in autumn.
