The first shipment of Russia’s Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine has been delivered to Paraguay Thursday, the national Health Ministry reported via Twitter, APA reports citing TASS.
The agency published an image of the shipment. According to the ministry, the received doses "will be used to vaccinate medical personnel working on the frontline" against the pandemic. The ministry added that the national vaccination campaign will be launched on February 22.
On February 4, Paraguay’s Health Minister Julio Mazzoleni announced that the national government had signed a contract with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) to supply Sputnik V.
