"A positive progress can be observed in the proposals package presented by Armenia at the end of November regarding the peace treaty," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov during the briefing jointly held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan, APA reports.
"At the end of November, after a 70-day break, we finally accepted the next proposal package related to the peace treaty from Armenia. Of course, I wouldn't like to get to the point of this issue. It is currently being worked on. Briefly, I would like to note that when we look at this package of documents, this proposals package, we see that it is not the same version of the previous package of proposals proposed. There is a certain positive progress here. Considering all these aspects, we have an optimism, but simultaneously here I would not want to say any date. We believe that with these steps, we can move forward step by step a very significant, very complex issue, an issue with a negative historical past. The Azerbaijani side’s approach is clear here, as we have said many times. If Armenia demonstrates not only its wishes but the legitimate interests of Azerbaijan, historical justice, and respect for international law, I think it is possible to achieve positive results," the minister said.
