The "Power of Unity – 2026" joint military exercise is being held in the Khojavend district, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
Anar Eyvazov, Head of the Press and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense, stated at a briefing that this is the first large-scale military exercise of its kind to be held in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
According to him, the exercise demonstrates the characteristics of hybrid warfare.
In addition to Azerbaijan, military personnel from Türkiye and Uzbekistan are participating in the exercise.
Iran, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Serbia, and the United Arab Emirates are participating as observers.
Anar Eyvazov noted that the exercise involves 3,579 personnel, 135 unmanned aerial vehicles, 76 armored vehicles, 94 artillery systems, 27 aircraft, 34 electronic warfare/radio-electronic combat/radio-electronic reconnaissance systems, 18 air defense systems, 8 sets of engineering equipment, and 25 naval assets.
