Azerbaijani peacekeepers being withdrawn from Afghanistan

Azerbaijani peacekeepers serving in NATO's Resolute Support mission are being withdrawn from Afghanistan, APA reports citing Anadolu Agency.

More than 5,000 troops are expected to be withdrawn from Afghanistan as part of NATO's Resolute Support mission.

It was noted that the number of Azerbaijani peacekeepers operating as part of NATO's Resolute Support mission is 120.

US President Joe Biden has announced that US troops will be withdrawn from Afghanistan on May 1.
