Baku. Javid Zeynalli – APA. Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun, who has completed his diplomatic mission in the country, held a meeting with members of the Azerbaijani Press Council in Baku Sept. 22.
Present at the meeting were Press Council Chairman, MP Aflatun Amashov, Head of the State Fund for Support of Mass Media Development Vugar Safarli, President of APA Holding Vusala Mahirgizi, MP Hikmat Babaoghlu, chief editor of Musavat newspaper Rauf Arifoghlu, Chairman of the International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Rahimoghlu, chief editor “Xalq CÉ™bhÉ™si” (Popular Front) newspaper Elchin Mirzabeyli, chief editor of “Bakı XÉ™bÉ™r” (Baku News) newspaper Aydin Guliyev, chief editor of Parallel newspaper Tapdig Abbas, and chief editor of “Şərq” (East) newspaper.
Addressing the meeting, Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashov stressed the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all areas.
He noted that relations between the Azerbaijani and Turkish media are developing in an upward trend.
Other speakers at the meeting praised the Turkish ambassador’s mission in Azerbaijan aimed at developing bilateral relations, wishing him success in his future activity.
Then, Ismail Alper Coskun was presented with an honorary diploma of the Press Council for his contributions to the development of relations between the two countries’ media.
The outgoing envoy, in turn, noted that Turkey in all issues takes the same position with Azerbaijan, and the two countries always stand by each other as fraternal countries.
“It is not easy to part from Azerbaijan. While we are in Turkey, my children ask me when we will return to our home in Baku. This is our love for Azerbaijan. I rely on Azerbaijan and it will never change,” he added.
