Baku – APA. The newly-appointed public affairs officer of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Caroline J. Savage, visited APA Holding on Thursday.
The guest was welcomed by APA Holding President Vusala Mahirgizi and Chairman of the holding’s Board of Directors Nurshan Guliyev.
C. Savage expressed satisfaction with her appointment to this post, noting that during her 3-year tenure in Azerbaijan she will try to further deepen cooperation between the embassy and local media outlets.
Vusala Mahirgizi, in turn, informed the guest about the history of APA Holding and the activities of media resources operating under the holding. Noting close ties between the holding and embassy, Mahirgizi stressed the need for further expansion of cooperation.
In addition, the sides expressed views on the current state of the Azerbaijani media, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between the holding and the embassy.
