"We must act very sensitively with our financial resources and provide the necessary support," Director of the Resilience and Climate Action Department at the Islamic Development Bank Syed Husain Quadri during a roundtable held on HARMONIYA 4 Climate Resilience held in Baku, APA reports.
He noted that major financial institutions have taken actions: "There are challenges in working with the private sector, but efforts must be made to expand this cooperation. As the Islamic Development Bank, we understand the importance of climate resilience and support Azerbaijan in this area. We are implementing irrigation system projects in Azerbaijan's Jabrayil and Fuzuli. These are no small projects at all. Our talks with relevant institutions and civil society are ongoing to ensure the sustainability of such projects."
