"Azerbaijan has entered a new phase in water management," Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Azerbaijan Pauline Eizema said during her speech at the Caspian Water Innovation Forum, APA-Economics reports.
She noted that issues on water will also be an important topic during the COP29, which will be held in Baku.
The Ambassador noted that the Netherlands’ experience in water management is recognized worldwide and is a practice built over generations and history, based on rich knowledge.
She emphasized that Azerbaijan is a country with stunning natural beauty, rich natural resources, and culture: "Like many other countries, Azerbaijan faces serious challenges in managing its water resources. The Netherlands, with its centuries-long experience in water management, has also faced similar challenges. Our country has learned to develop water management using water itself. This was shaped by the need to protect our land from the sea."
She added that Dutch companies are offering innovative solutions in water management: "Dutch companies are ready to share this experience with Azerbaijan."
