The Azerbaijani side has already started work on the reconstruction of the relevant railway line in Nakhchivan to implement the Kars-Nakhchivan railway project, information in this regard was announced at the meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, co-chaired by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and the Vice President of Türkiye, APA reports.
The importance of implementing the Kars-Nakhchivan railway project in establishing direct railway connections between the main part of Azerbaijan and Türkiye has been emphasized. It was brought to the attention of the Turkish side that the Azerbaijani side has already begun work on rebuilding the relevant railway line in Nakhchivan."
