Azerbaijan's national air carrier, AZAL, has celebrated its two millionth passenger. On July 25, the airline reached this milestone for the year 2024, AZAL told APA-Economics.
The lucky passenger was Nazrin Orujova, who had purchased a Baku-London flight ticket.
Airline representatives congratulated her at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, presenting her with a certificate for a free round-trip flight from Baku to any regular destination served by Azerbaijan Airlines.
In the first half of 2024, the number of AZAL passengers increased significantly: international routes saw a 60% increase compared to the same period in 2023, while domestic flights experienced a 10% rise.
