Bakuâ€“ APA-Economics. Swiss watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin in partnership with SCI Innovations has stepped into the mobile phone arena with the production of the luxury smartphone known as the Chairman.
This innovative hybrid smart phone embodies Ulysse Nardinâ€™s core values of expert craftsmanship, heritage and timeless style, while incorporating the worldâ€™s most technologically advanced applications. Like its watches, the phone is assembled by hand and has a winding rotor that provides auxiliary power for the device when its battery is nearly or fully depleted.
A marquis product for the heralded brand, this groundbreaking partnership is a first for Ulysse Nardin.
The Ulysse Nardin Chairman smartphone features a 2.8 inch capacitive multi-touch display along with a 5 megapixel camera, fingerprint scanner, WiFi, and is both a watch and smartphone combined.
The Ulysse Nardin Chairman is the worldâ€™s first hybrid powered smartphone incorporating a â€œwatch like kinetic rotor systemâ€ and regular rechargeable battery and will be available in Rose Gold, Stealth Black, Steel and Blue, Rose Gold and Steel, and Rose Gold and Blue, but as yet no price is available.
There is reportedly a limited number of phones being made â€“ 1,846 units.
