Scania intends to expand sales outlets in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Sweden’s Scania CV Aktiebolag, which has signed an agreement to have a presence in Baku through Azerbaijan’s ADO-G, may also open offices in regions of the country, said Martin Lundstedt, Scania’s Vice President for Franchise and Factory Sales.
He added that after penetrating Azeri market the company will conisider having a presence in provinces in the future.
According to him, the sales outlet may be expanded in Azerbaijan depending on the sales.
According to him, the company sold 73 793 trucks and buses worldwide last year.
Scania AB is a global manufacturer of heavy trucks, buses, and diesel engines, with its head office in Södertälje.
Scania has production facilities in Europe and Latin America. In addition, there are assembly plants in ten countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Scania’s sales and service organisation and finance companies are worldwide. In total, the company employs approximately 35,000 people around the world.
