Sweden’s Scania opens a representative office in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. On March 19, Azerbaijan’s ADO-G and Sweden’s Scania CV Aktiebolag signed agreements on the establishment of exclusive distributorship and a representative office for sales and service.
ADO-G said the documents will be signed by ADO-G Chairman Musa Suleymanov and Scania President and CEO Leif Östling.
Musa Suleymanov said big foreign companies take great interest in Azeri market despite the global financial crisis.
Martin Lundstedt, Scania’s Vice President for Franchise and Factory Sales, added that there is a fantastic growth rate in Azerbaijan.
According to him, the company sold 73 793 trucks and buses last year.
ADO-G Group of Companies is engaged in production engineering, architecture, designing, estimating, supply and construction.
Scania AB is a global manufacturer of heavy trucks, buses, and diesel engines, with its head office in Södertälje.
Scania has production facilities in Europe and Latin America. In addition, there are assembly plants in ten countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Scania’s sales and service organisation and finance companies are worldwide. In total, the company employs approximately 35,000 people around the world.
