Azeri Post to complete automated corporate information system this year

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-Economics. Work on the establishment of the automated corporate information system for Azeri Post is 60-70% complete and is slated for full completion by this yearend, said Rudy Kozak, Hewlett Packardâ€™s Managing Director for the CIS area.
The first tests of automated corporate information system installed by HP and its partners Colvir and Sinam in Azeri Post were successful. HP won a tender to deploy the system for Azeri Post.
The system has been tested in one post branch and 5 post offices in Baku.
The system installation is part of the Financial Services Development Project between the World Bank and the Government of Azerbaijan that aims to facilitate improvement of the access of the rural population to financial services and improvements in the financial architecture and a component for Azeri Post to build the financial service capacity in rural areas that are presently undeserved or not served by the banking system and to improve access to basic business infrastructure and for delivery of Government services.
Azeri Post is a unit under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
