AzEuroTel: â€œCutting down the satellite channels caused the interruption international services of Azerbaijani banksâ€

Baku-APA. AzEuroTel Joint Venture leadership issued a statement accusing the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. The press release that AzEuroTel sent to APA says that officials of the ministry entered the satellite station area belonging to AzEuroTel and cut down the existing satellite channels providing more than 30 banks and other cooperative subscribers with Internet. As a result of the interference, the activity of the satellite station was interrupted at all and AzEuroTel was not able to serve its subscribers. â€œCutting down the satellite channels caused the interruption international services of Azerbaijani banks. Illegal actions the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies inflicted great damage to the banks and adversely affected their international image.

AzEuroTel apologizes to its subscribers for the problems and promised to restore the subscribers’ international network access.

Technical director of Aztelekom of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies Zahir Valiyev told APA the information given by AzEuroTel was not correct. AzEuroTelâ€™s all data, SWIFT and other systems through Aztelekom operate as a rule. Aztelekom has not interfered in these systems.
