Azercell attends GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva â€“ APA-Economics. On February 16-19, another meeting of World GSMA Congress has been conducting in Barcelona. At this international conference with the participation of more than 200 countries, Azerbaijan is represented by the delegation of Azercell, according to Azercell Telecomâ€™s press release.
GSMA Mobile World Congress entails a particular importance for the world of information and communication technologies. This event, indeed, shapes the future of mobile world. This 2009 Congress is expected to be wider in scale in comparison with the previous year. It can be explained by the rising number of companies that wish to demonstrate their products in the field of mobile technologies. For instance, it is anticipated that over 50 thousand representatives are participating in this Congress.
During this conference, alongside with the leaders of such giants of mobile technologies world as AT&T, Microsoft, Nokia, Telefonica, TeliaSonera, CEO of Azercell Telecom LLC Mr.Ali Agan is also taking part in the event. This means that Azercell participates in GSMA Congress already in a third time.
During his visit to Barcelona, Mr.Ali Agan, newly nominated CEO of Azercell Telecom LLC is holding meetings with several world leaders in mobile communication technologies, including Mr.Rob Conway, Head of GSM Association. The event is also attended by such famous Hollywood star and director as Kevin Spacey who will deliver the speech dedicated to a newly formed â€œmofilmâ€ which means the mobile made films industry.
During the Congress, senior business executives of top companies will lead seminars on various topics for participants. Mobile innovation and ecological system, increased development of mobile technologies, impact of global financial crisis to mobile operators, the world of mobile and business, formation of a right strategy for local base stations and other issues will be among the topics of discussion.
The aim of the Congress is to reach the globalization of mobile phone and wireless communication services, open up new opportunities for operators and mobile equipment suppliers and ensure strengthened mobile communications which overpasses national borders and networks. Currently, overall number of GSM Association members exceeds 2 billion. In general, World GSMA Congress combines in itself not only various seminars and forums, but also the world largest exhibition of mobile industries. Here, leader companies which offer various equipment and leading mobile operators are represented by their representatives. This year, we can see among participants the companies such as Ericsson, Yahoo!, Motorola, MySpace, Vodafone and others. The event with the participation of more than 200 enterprises are covering by over 2000 media representatives, including Azerbaijani journalists who are attending this event in Barcelona by Azercell support.
