Passengers told the agency that one of the passengers started to act rudely, spoke loudly and even molested children at the time the plane took off in Dubai: “There were lots of children and foreigners. A man at nearly 30-35 years of age started to shout and molested children. The stewardesses failed to cope with him. Then 6 male passengers caught the man and bound him to the seat”.
The airplane made an emergency landing at the Yerevan airport at around 5:00 a.m. The passengers waited out there for 2.5 hours. The pilots wanted to hand the drunken passenger to the local police. But as the passenger was an Azerbaijani citizen, they refused to receive him. The passenger was handcuffed. Then doctors arrived and used tranquilizer to calm him down. He fell asleep. Later on, the airplane flied from Yerevan to Moscow with three hours of delay. The man was finally handed over to police in the capital city of Moscow.
