Two more persons detained over shooting 4 in Azerbaijanâ€™s Zagatala region

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Two more persons were detained over the skirmish in Zagatala, law-enforcement bodies told APA.

As a result of search operations, two more perpetrators – Balakan residents Sabir Osmanov and Parviz Aliyev were detained. Detainee Sabir Osmanov is the brother of Samir Osmanov who shot at 4 people.

A large number of weapons and drugs were seized from the detainees. According to preliminary information, they were engaged in drug trafficking and armed incidents occurred between two groups of them.

Chief of Zagatala region police office confirmed to APA that some persons were detained but didn’t speak about the motive of the incident: “Currently, investigation and search operations are being conducted. Public will be informed after the measures are completed.”

Residents of Balakan district Osmanov Samir Rashid, 22, who opened fire with a gun at the car, where there were 4 people, and Vugar Lahijov were arrested yesterday. The gun used by S. Osmanov was seized as evidence.
The police also said that during the incident S.Osmanov also shot his own arm from the same weapon. He was hospitalized.

Currently operational-search measures are underway to arrest the other participants of the armed incident.
A Hyundai driven by Balakan-resident Vusal Aliyev was shot at in Yukhari Tala village of Zagatala region by an unidentified person in VAZ-2107 on November 24 at 16:00.

Passengers - Balakan resident Kamil Hushanov, Baku residents Vasif Jafarov and Vugar Rajabov died on the spot, driver Aligayev was wounded.

As a result of search operations it was revealed that the incident was committed by Balakan resident Samir Osmanov.

Criminal case has been launched on the fact.
