State Customs Committee issues statement on detention of Sederek customs checkpoint chief in Turkey

The Committee’s press service told APA that Seyidov arrived in Istanbul on December 9, 2013, when he was on vocation, for treatment of his family members: “He was detained by police at Kars Airport on December 17, 2013, while returning with his family through Istanbul-Kars flight. He was summoned to Igdir Prosecutor’s Office for the specification of information on the arrested during the operations in Turkey.”

Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Turkey and Consulate General in Kars are taking necessary measures to solve this issue as soon as possible.
