Smuggling of explosives from Russia to Azerbaijan prevented

Press service of the State Customs Committee told APA that “Ä°karus-256” passenger bus driven by Eyvazov Gasham Durbala was checked at Samur customs checkpoint of Khachmaz Customs Office. Hidden 140 kg gun powder was seized from the bus.

The State Customs Committee is carrying out investigation.

The press service says that some criminal groups have recently attempted to smuggle explosives to Azerbaijan. But the customs bodies of the republic prevent such smuggling cases in time and regularly carry out operations.
