Republic Main State Traffic Police Office addresses drivers

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The Republic Main State Traffic Police Office has addressed drivers.

Chief of Police Office’s public relations department Kamran Aliyev told APA that the snowy and frosty weather in the republic created problems on some roads.

Despite the icing on Guba-Gusar and Ismayilli-Mughanli highways, the roads are open for movement: “The roads are being cleared from snow, the traffic is being regulated. However, for avoiding any accident, the drivers are advised to be careful, use seasonal wheels and stay away from high-speed.”

Aliyev said that 3 persons died and 13 were injured as a result of thirteen traffic accidents in the republic yesterday.

Baku City State Traffic Police Office has also tightened security. The Police Office told APA that the snowy weather caused traffic jams on some roads. Traffic police are currently taking measures to regulate traffic in capital’s streets and avenues.

Baku City State Traffic Police Office has asked the capital residents not to use personal cars as far as possible and prefer public transport.
