Quake hits southern region of Azerbaijan

APA reports quoting the website of the Seismological Service Center of Institute of Geophysics-Tehran University that the epicenter of the quake was in Yardimli region. 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded in the depth of 10 km on December 3 at 09:12 Baku time (at 08:42 Tehran time).

The quake occurred 10 km away Yardimli (Azerbaijan), 13 km away Lerik (Azerbaijan) and 29 km away Germi (Iran).

The quake was also felt in Ardabil province of Iran.

Quake also hit East Azerbaijan province of Iran early December 3. The epicenter of the quake was in Verzigan city. 1.9-magnitude quake was recorded in the depth of 8 km at 06:57 Baku time.

On December 2, quake hit Verzigan (1.3-magnitude) and Khvajeh (2.0-magnitude) cities of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.
