Prosecutor General's Office press service told APA that Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General investigated the material sent by the Education Ministry on the fake diploma issued in the name of Rufat Sharifov by Ganja State University.
The investigation has found out that the diploma of the graduate of Ganja State University Rufat Sharifov issued in 2009 was not legal, moreover, there are grounded suspicions that Baku resident Nargiz Mammadova took AZN23 000 from Sharifov's mother for admission to Azerbaijan State Economic University in 2007. Criminal case has been launched on the fact on articles 178.3.2 (swindling), 308.1 (abuse of power) and 320.1 (counterfeiting official documents, state awards, seals, stamps, blanks, selling or using fake documents) of the Criminal Code.
Investigation is underway.
