Lawyer Irada Javadova told APA that public prosecutor addressed the hearing. He demanded to sentence Elman Mammadov to 12 years in prison, Taleh Suleymanov to 9 years and Hasan Aliyev to 10 years.

The hearing will be proceeded on March 2.

According to the indictment, businessman coming from Russia Ramzan Salimov appealed to Elman Mammadov, whom he has known since 2011, for employment. Mammadov introduced him to judge of Baku Court on Grave Crimes Hasan Aliyev. Hasan Aliyev took AZN 600,000 from Salimov for employment. However, he didn’t give back the money. After that Salimov appealed to police. Upon his complaint, a criminal case was launched and Mammadov was arrested. Later, it was revealed that a person named Taleh Suleymanov took part in the crime and he was arrested too.

During the investigation, Hasan Aliyev was faced with charges under the Article #312 (presentation of a bribe) of the Criminal Code along with charges under the Article #178.3.2 (swindle with causing damage in the large size) of the Criminal Code. However, he was not sentenced to pretrial detention.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on early termination of Hasan Aliyev’s powers. The reason for this was the repeated flagrant violation of the law by Hasan Aliyev.
