Baku. Hafiz Heydarov - APA. Some details have emerged of the armed incident which took place in Baku last night.
The law-enforcement bodies told APA that the police officer of the Khatai District Police Office, senior police lieutenant Iltifat Bayramov was shot by an unknown man while he was on duty with some fellow employees.
The injured was taken to the hospital of the Interior Ministry.
As a result of the measures, offender Yevgeni Antonov was arrested. Nagan pistol was seized from him.
The Khatai District Prosecutor’s Office launched criminal case on the fact, investigation is underway.

The incident was recorded on the night of October 25 to 26 in Khazar district.
The police officer has been hospitalized.
The Khatai District Police Office confirmed the fact to APA. As the police officer’s name was not disclosed, the offender was reportedly arrested. The motive of the incident has not been disclosed yet.
