Baku. Hafiz Heydarov. Chief of Interior Ministry’s Main Public Security Department, police major-general Javanshir Mammadov has been sent into age-related retirement.
Mammadov was appointed to this post in June, 1995. He joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1976. He was Deputy Chief of the Main Police Department of Baku city in 1989-1992, Chief of the Main Police Department of Baku city in 1993.
State authorities and Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded him several times for impeccable service and successes in protection of public security, establishment of stability, as well as in international events held in the country.
The ministry confirmed the fact to APA.
