Owner of facility exploded in Baku: “Gas leak from the oil well supposedly caused the explosion” - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

APA’s correspondent reports from the site that the explosion occurred in a facility closed for reconstruction. The facility is located on the first floor of the two-storey residential building. The windows and doors of the facility were broken.

Samad Farziyev, the owner of the facility told APA that there is no gas line in the facility. It is supposed that the explosion occurred as gas leaked from the oil well behind the facility.

Farziyev noted that one person was injured as a result of the accident.

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. An explosion occurred in Baku.

Sabayil District Police Office told APA that it happened in a residential building near Oxford school in Badamdar settlement at 16:50. According to preliminary information, 4 people were injured as a result of the explosion.

Police and prosecuting officers, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have arrived at the site.

The reasons of the accident are currently being investigated.
