Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. One person has drowned and three others have been rescued off the Azerbaijani coast of the Caspian Sea.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Monday that the State Water Rescue Service has received information about that three persons faced the risk of drowning while swimming in the sea (200 meters away from the nearest rescue station) in Baku’s Khazar district.
Rescuers immediately arrived at the scene and managed to rescue two of them. However, Jamalzade Narmin, 18, died after drowning in the sea. Her body was recovered from the sea.
The ministry added that another person was rescued from drowning in Absheron district.
