Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA that a Kurdamir region resident appealed to Anti-Corruption Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office saying that chief Garasaggal village municipality of Kurdamir region Yengibar Ahmadov demanded money from him to register his land plot to the name of his wife.
The Department officers held an operation and caught Ahmadov red-handed while taking
The house was searched, the money was seized as a material evidence in the presence of the eye witnesses.
Ahmadov has faced charges under article 311 (taking bribe) of the Criminal Code, has been sentenced to pre-trial detention.
Investigation is underway.
