Monthly salaries of Chairman of Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan and Human Rights Commissioner to be increased

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Azerbaijan increases salaries of Chairman of Constitutional Court and Human Rights Commissioner.

Azerbaijani Parliament told APA that amendments are made to the laws “On Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Republic” and “On Constitutional Court” in this regard.

According to the amendment proposed to the article#16.1 of the law “On Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Republic”, the salary of the Ombudsperson is increased to AZN 2,025 from AZN 1,800. In accordance with the law, this increase will relevantly affect the salaries of employees of the Ombudsman Apparatus.

According to the amendment proposed to the article#71.2 of the law “On Constitutional Court”, the salary of the Chairman of Constitutional Court is increased to AZN 2,120 from AZN 1,785. In accordance with the law, this increase will relevantly affect the salaries of employees of the Constitutional Court.

The draft law will be discussed at the next plenary meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
