Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. A 43-year-old Azerbaijani has been abducted in Moscow Province.
The incident took place near the house of the Azerbaijani on January 26, APA’s correspondent to Moscow reported.
A group of unknown persons forced him into the car and tied his hands. They then dropped him and made him get in another car in which they took him to Klin city.
Investigation discovered that the purpose of the abduction was to demand money from his family. Note that, the same Azerbaijani had been kidnapped 20 years ago, and his brother, a rich businessman, had his brother released by paying the kidnappers.
This time, however, the culprits demanded 3 million dollars. But their plan did not work. The 43-year-old Azerbaijani managed to escape from the place he was being held as one of the criminals had forgotten to tie the Azerbaijani’s handcuffs to a heating system on February 4. The Azerbaijani took the advantage and escaped through the window to inform the police nearby. The criminals were captured by the police. As a result of search operations the police carried out, the third person, also suspected of kidnapping the same person, was detained as well.
A criminal case has been launched. The fact is being investigated.
